Last week I asked you what your favorite social network was, partly to find out where you spend your time, but also to see if we can all start talking to each other a little more. Here's the list of places you like to hang out in order of popularity:

  1. Facebook
  2. Instagram
  3. Other
  4. Twitter

Of course, I've argued you should always have your own blog and syndicate to all social networks automatically. This week, the closure of several journalists' Facebook and Twitter accounts, at the demand of governments like Saudi Arabia, offers strong support for this view. Today it's governments, tomorrow it could be advertisers.

You need a place of your own.
