# The Van Halen Encyclopedia Teams Up with VHND

Sixteen years ago, the Van Halen fan community put their collective heads together and created the first detailed book about the band's history. I was incredibly lucky to be the custodian of that book for all these years. I'm proud to announce that this year the book is returning to the community through the [Van Halen News Desk](http://vhnd.com/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

I've had a long and productive relationship with those at the news desk and I know they have the time and energy to ensure the project remains active far more than I could alone.
