Over the years, unscrupulous businesses have given “subscriptions” and “newsletters” are bad name among many readers.

A good way to combat newsletter fatigue and separate yourself from the crowd is to name your newsletter something more fun, honest, and relatable.

You can own a day, like [Sunday Dispatches](https://pjrvs.com/signup?ref=cjchilvers.com).

You can own a time, like [Morning Brew](https://www.morningbrew.com/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

You can own a benefit, like [Further](https://further.net/?ref=cjchilvers.com) or [Roden Explorers Mailing List](https://craigmod.com/explorers/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

A good way to beat subscription fatigue is not ask your reader to “subscribe.” Language like “join us” is more direct and human. They’re joining a tribe, not adding their names to a long list.
