This week’s links:

Hugh MacLeod wrote the best article about online publishing in years this week. If you blog, tweet or publish your stuff in any way, you need to [read it](http://www.copyblogger.com/vanity-metrics/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

[Don’t Quit Your Day Job](http://www.levenger.com/BOOKS-17/LEVENGER-PRESS-BOOKS-238/Don-t-Quit-Your-Day-Job-Core-7626.aspx?ref=cjchilvers.com) is 71% off at Levenger right now. I wrote about how it applies to photographers [a year ago](http://alesserphotographer.com/post/92451031524/dont-quit-your-day-job?ref=cjchilvers.com).

Minimal Mac, the blog that gave A Lesser Photographer its first big bumps in traffic, [ended this week](http://minimalmac.com/post/118286489104/the-end?ref=cjchilvers.com). Blogging now is more about building relationships than any short term gain. Minimal Mac was a great example of that. I ended the A Lesser Photographer blog a few years ago for similar reasons, and only jumped back in when prodded by lots of people I admire. Coming back was about building a few more relationships, not ad dollars.

Eric Kim continues his solid run of great articles this week with: [Take at Least 1 Shitty Photograph Everyday](http://erickimphotography.com/blog/2015/05/05/take-at-least-1-shitty-photograph-everyday/?ref=cjchilvers.com) and [The Only Way to Become Indifferent to Criticism: Become Indifferent to Praise as Well](http://erickimphotography.com/blog/2015/05/04/the-only-way-to-become-indifferent-to-criticism-become-indifferent-to-praise-as-well/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

A year after selling Photojojo, Amit Gupta [tells his story](http://amitgupta.com/something-happened/?ref=cjchilvers.com).

David DuChemin [explains why](http://davidduchemin.com/2015/05/enough/?ref=cjchilvers.com) you already have everything you need to create something great.
