# When Snapshots Suck

The snapshot is the king of all photographs. But, when done for the sake of art, some could use a bit more thought. A grumpy Jonathan Jones of The Guardian [shakes his fist at a cloud](https://www.flickr.com/photos/13199528@N08/4593531893/?ref=cjchilvers.com) and explains why some snapshots are downright boring:

> “The moral is, if you want to take really great pictures, don’t go on a cruise. Go to a war zone – or your parents’ flat.”
