We all have those moments when we feel like imposters, like we aren’t qualified for our work or lifestyles. Anxiety amplifies this. It’s a quick trip from there to procrastination and depression.
I keep a “testimonials” folder for these moments, where I save the very occasional accolade I get.
I forget about them all the time. There’s even some minor celebrities in there. How could I forget?
Anxiety does that.
The world’s greatest rock guitar player, Eddie Van Halen, used to vomit before his concerts from anxiety. If anxiety and imposter syndrome took over that guy’s mind each night, what hope is there for us?
Not much if you don’t time to reflect on your successes and realize how valuable you are to your community, family, and clients.
