Freeing Up Some Time for Photography

The most common hand-wringing complaint I hear from photo enthusiasts is something along the lines of: “I juts don’t have the time to photograph everything I want.” and/or “I used to shoot a lot more, but I’m so busy these days.”

This is one of those problems that’s incredibly easy to solve, but incredibly difficult to implement: Eliminate the unnecessary to make room for what you want more of in your life.

The honesty needed to identify what’s necessary and the persistence to break the habit of being “busy” is one of the hardest mental journeys I can imagine. I’ve put together some of my favorite quotes on the subject at my personal blog.

Give it a read. Be honest with yourself. Decide what needs to go. Ask yourself the hard questions. Try not to take years to answer them. Trust me, I know.
