Some of the reasons:
- You learn how to deal with triggers better.
- You experiment more.
- You realize more and more that you’re not alone.
- You care less about what others think.
- You learn to turn your weaknesses into strengths.
So, my last practical tip this month for anxiety is just to keep going and keep experimenting. Don’t give in and wallow in your anxiety. Your life is a gift. Believe it or not, your anxiety can be a gift.
As for the tactics I’ve left out of this month’s posts, like hypnosis, acupuncture, and supplements, they may work for some, but they’ve never worked for me. That’s the advantage of persisting with 20+ years of experiments: there’s never an end and you’re bound to find something that works a little bit eventually.
